Nine Elms Hotel

There are two hotels, with 360 and 477 keys, located centrally in Nine Elms, next to Nine Elms Linear Park and the US Embassy. The whole VNEB area has been regenerated from brownfield, with quality of public realm as a dominant design factor, creating a series of neighbourhoods that are green, largely car free and family friendly. The hotel will make a great contribution to the mixed uses here, with the landscape design coordinated to bring a consistency of materiality, planting, furnishings and lighting.

The Green Link makes a lively public thoroughfare through the middle of the site, enriching the green active travel network. The Green Arbour is a quieter route, joining with the green space around the US Embassy. Greenery is introduced wherever possible, ranging from formal street trees, informal tree groups, low level naturalistic planting and climbing plants. The priority here is seamless public realm quality, so the actual site boundary is hardly expressed.
