Working at Camlins

Camlins is a friendly, diverse team. We enjoy helping each other and value contributions from everyone. We have 20 people, so we all know each other. Camlins is an Equal Opportunities Employer. Currently we have a regular pattern of hybrid working.

Camlins is based in Shrewsbury, a beautiful historic town set in the Shropshire Hills, near the Welsh border. Shrewsbury is well connected by train with the Midlands, London and the rest of Britain. We work in all parts of the UK, Ireland and internationally.

We have a clear responsibilities and review structure, helping everyone to plan individual progress in a way that suits them. We support the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership. All staff are supported in pursuing professional goals, including a CPD programme.

Our commissions range in scale from large masterplans and urban parks, through to small roof terraces and private gardens. We enjoy all work stages, from project inception through planning, detailed design, tender, implementation on site to completion. Therefore we offer a huge range of roles for all staff, with continual review to ensure everyone has well rounded experience and can also take up any particular preferences.

Furthermore, we work with some of the very best architects, engineers, ecologists and other professions currently in practice, making our working lives fascinating, instructive and enjoyable.

We select a team for each project with the right blend of skills and experience, but we maintain a flexible overall big team structure. Weekly work planning meetings for the whole team review workloads, resources and particular skill requirements, ensuring that quality standards and deadlines are met. We support each other.

We enjoy organised out of office activities, often with family and friends joining us.

We are always interested to receive applications from creative people who wish to join our team. Please email your cv and portfolio to Mark Dunn at
