William Quick
Trainee Architectural Technician
Will, a trainee Architectural Technician at Camlins since August 2023, brings a fresh and dynamic approach to the practice. Having been referred by a lecturer, Will was drawn to Camlins by their innovative projects and the firm’s proximity to his home in Oswestry. Currently in the midst of completing an Architectural Technology degree at Nottingham Trent University, he is also a student member of CIAT, aiming to qualify as a chartered architectural technologist post-graduation.
Will’s work approach involves breaking down large projects into smaller daily tasks to manage them efficiently. In his brief tenure, he has been significantly involved in the design and development of a health centre in Stanmore, Harrow. As he aids design teams, he is keen on developing his BIM skills, proving to be a versatile addition to the practice.
Outside the professional sphere, Will is a Formula One aficionado who rarely misses a Grand Prix. He also enjoys long country walks with his dog, cycling, gym workouts, and is an admitted petrol head, annually attending events like the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Living close to the Welsh hills, he finds the area deeply inspiring, much like Apple Park’s harmonious blend of architecture and nature.
Describing himself as determined, creative and adventurous, Will brings a blend of youthful enthusiasm and keen intellect to Camlins. He keeps his passion for design and architecture balanced with an active lifestyle and a genuine love for nature. This unique blend makes Will not just a valuable team member at Camlins but also a vibrant individual with a promising future.
