Lewys Taylor

Landscape Architect

Lewys is a creative and ambitious newcomer to the industry. With a BA in Architecture from Liverpool John Moores University, he is currently continuing his education at Birmingham City University, focusing on Landscape Architecture. Although Lewys has been with Camlins for just a few months, he’s already made significant contributions to projects such as the Westbrook Centre and South Hawks Road.

Lewys was first introduced to Camlins through associate Luke Coe, who noticed his potential during a university tutorial. Intrigued by Camlins’ reputation and drawn to Shropshire’s charm, Lewys seized the opportunity to join the team. Before turning to landscape architecture, he had a diverse career that spanned from bartending and hosting cocktail masterclasses to quality control in a data centre and CAD design for traffic management. This eclectic background has endowed him with a rich skill set and a keen eye for detail.

In the practice, Lewys is known for his eagerness to learn and his unbridled enthusiasm for landscape architecture. While he may be new to the team, his excitement and work ethic are contagious. “Why not shoot for the stars?” says Lewys, who aspires to climb the ranks and eventually become a Director.

Outside of work, he has a myriad of interests, from gardening and anime to fantasy literature and video games. Inspired by Dubai’s architecture as a child, today, he finds himself fascinated by Japanese culture and landscapes. Describing himself as kind, creative, and excitable, Lewys is not just a burgeoning talent but also an individual full of zeal both professionally and personally.
