Adam Taylor

Senior Landscape Architect

Adam joined Camlins in September 2019, bringing four years of experience and a thirst for creative challenges. He was drawn to the practice as a boutique studio with an impressive portfolio of urban development projects. This broad range of opportunity allowed him to dive headfirst into all aspects of landscape architecture, helping him grow quickly as a professional.

He has a first-class undergraduate degree in Landscape Management from the University Centre Reaseheath and a MA with distinction from Manchester School of Architecture. Before embarking on landscape design, Adam managed a number of pubs, enjoying the social element. It was during his tenure in the Peak District that his fascination with nature led him to study landscape management, eventually steering him towards landscape architecture.

Adam’s role at Camlins is characterised by his love for problem-solving and his hands-on approach. He draws inspiration from a diverse range of designers from, Capability Brown and Roberto Burle Marx to contemporary innovators such as James Corner and Martha Schwartz. Adam takes responsibility for developing concept ideas into detailed design through collaboration with various disciplines. He is working towards chartership whilst contributing to projects such as the New Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff, and Church Street, Westminster. Adam is particularly proud of his involvement in Nine Elms Park. He has led in the detail design of Plots E,F,G with construction imminent.

Outside the office, Adam enjoys hiking, tackling DIY projects, savouring his vinyl collection and passionately following Stoke City Football Club. He also has a penchant for real ale. Adam’s happy place has always been the Peak District and he finds inspiration in the beauty of North Wales and the Lake District. He has diverse heritage, with Greek and Serbian roots on his mother’s side. In three words, he describes himself as “No Non-Sense.”
